2017V89 & The Great Give!
WVFS Tallahassee is excited to be part of FSU’s Great Give!
If you aren’t already familiar, FSU’s Great Give is a 36-hour online giving campaign in support of academic programs, scholarships and student activities at Florida State University. Supporters can make donations 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 30 until the campaign ends at 9 p.m. on Friday March 31.
Staffed by nearly 200 hardworking volunteers, V89 provides diversity in programming while serving as a topnotch training facility, offering students real world, hands-on experience and professional development in all facets of radio operations, including News, Sports, Production, Continuity, Development, Public Relations, and Announcing.
College radio is an important educational opportunity for students from all majors, not just Communication, and—for nearly 30 years—V89 has provided an exciting learning opportunity to thousands of Seminoles while also serving as a premiere independent radio station for the campus and community.
With your financial support, V89 can continue to provide students this exceptional experience. Right now, we are raising funds to help with station equipment needs, emergency costs, and daily essentials.
